A comprehensive test has shown which password management software offers the best service.
CNET has tested the most popular password managers, and based on the test results, LastPass remains one of the best applications for managing secure passwords and card data. 1Password performed similarly well in the test, but you have to subscribe to it; the program is only a trial version, it can not be used for free even with reduced functionality.
Both applications work on both computer browsers and mobile devices, and the digital safe is accessed not only with a master password, but also with a fingerprint or even a PIN code. The free version of LastPass also supports synchronization between devices.
Based on security recommendations, it is now advisable to use a strong password everywhere (12 characters long, at least two capital letters, two numbers and two special characters, and it is not advisable to use the same password used in several places. However, in today’s world, you need to register an account for every service, so you can easily get 30 to 40 accounts together – and it’s impossible to remember so many strong passwords. So it is highly recommended to use a password manager – so all you need is a strong password, the rest is up to LastPass or 1Password!
