Motorola Moto G22: a new challenger under the 200 € mark

Motorola expands its catalog with the launch of the Moto G22. A very affordable smartphone running Android 12, the latest version of Google’s mobile OS.

Motorola continues to complete its catalog with the Moto G22. After pleasantly surprising us in the high-end segment with the Egde 30 Pro, the manufacturer is back with a smartphone at a low price. A segment where competition is fierce, but the Lenovo brand wants to come back to the fore. In addition to the mid/high end, or even premium, it is important to think about the entry level. This is where the Moto G series comes in and its latest representative: the Moto G22. Lenovo’s latest smartphone is not technically one-upmanship. Concessions have necessarily had to be made to maintain an affordable price, which does not prevent the Moto G22 from being interesting. The device offers a 6.5-inch LCD screen displaying in HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixels), at a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Inside, a MediaTek Helio G37 chip drives the Moto G22 and limits the smartphone to of 4G. The Taiwanese founder’s SoC is supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, expandable up to 1 TB via microSD.

A quadruple photo sensor on the back

On the photo side, the Motorola G22 has a quadruple photo module comprising a main sensor of 50 megapixels (f / 1.8). It adds an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (f / 2.2) and two classic 2-megapixel sensors; one dedicated to macro and the other to depth management. A classic configuration for a model that films up to Full HD at 30 fps. Up front, the punched-out screen houses a 16-megapixel front camera. The set is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which, however, is not entitled to fast charging technology. You have to make do with a 15 W load. Motorola Moto G22Motorola Moto G22
