After upgrading its newer models, Xiaomi is launching MIUI 12.5 on its older smartphones. Redmi 7 and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 are upgraded to the new ROM.
The first was released in 2019 with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie, then got MIUI 11 and then upgraded to MIUI 11. After MIUI 12 and Android 10 Redmi 7 gets MIUI 12.5 with the update V220.127.116.11.QFLCNXM.
On the other hand the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 was released in 2018 and ran MIUI 9 based on Android 8.0 Oreo, later got MIUI 10, MIUI 11, and MIUI 12, while upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie and Android 10. Now gets MIUI 12.5 with update V18.104.22.168.QEDCNXM.
As we have said other times it is the well-known Stable Beta of MIUI 12.5, while neither of the two phones is expected to get MIUI 13 or Android 11. The distribution started in China and will soon expand to more purchases.
