With the launch of the affordable mid-range smartphone in August, Google gave us a small idea of the rest of the 2020 smartphone lineup. And today, it made the official announcement of the Google Pixel 5, which was announced like Google’s flagship smartphone. More specifically, the Pixel 5 comes with a 6-inch FHD + OLED screen. Only one screen size is available.
There is an 8MP camera on the front, while the back retains the bump of the camera we met last year. A small tweak puts the flash at the top, while the spectral and flicker sensor is at the bottom. Google uses the same 12.2MP sensor with ƒ / 1.7 dating back to the Pixel 3 era, but will now be accompanied by a 16MP wide angle camera.
Inside Google Pixel 5 user will find the Snapdragon 765G with 8GB RAM. For the second year in a row, Google is increasing the amount of memory, while only 128GB of storage is available. There is a 4,000 mAh battery, it charges via USB C or Qi. Of course, Android 11 is not absent, while it will receive updates for up to three years. Its price in the US is $699.
