AMD is going to release two more video cards of the Radeon RX 6000 series in the foreseeable future, reports the portal VideoCardz . These will be the entry-level models Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400.
Model Radeon RX The 6400 will also be based on the Navi 24 GPU. But it will only have 12 compute units active, that is, 768 stream processors. This card will also receive 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory with support for the 64-bit bus. Unlike the Radeon RX 6500 XT, the Radeon RX 6400 model will not receive an additional power connector. The usual PCIe x16 slot is enough for it. Thus, the power consumption of the Radeon RX 6400 will not exceed 75 W.
According to the source the portal refers to VideoCardz , AMD announces both cards in Q1 2022. The Radeon RX 6500 XT model will be positioned as a solution for games in 1080p resolution. However, given the limited video memory and low bandwidth, the card will not be able to provide a high level of performance at maximum quality settings in the most modern games.
