The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 will soon measure the Vo2 MAX and detect falls

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 will soon receive a firmware update that will bring some features from the Galaxy Watch 3 series. The main feature  is the measurement of VO2 MAX, which means the maximum volume of oxygen that you are able to use during any physical activity. More detailed running statistics are now added to this.

Another addition will be fall detection. Once a crash is detected, the watch will offer the option to send an SOS notification to the selected contacts. And the watch will do this even if it does not receive any instruction from its wearer. The watch will now display emoticons and photo previews in color-coded text chat bubbles. Another addition is the proposed Smart Reply, automatic sharing of screenshots from the watch to the connected phone or even faster access to music playlists on the phone.
