Polestar 5: wet dream on four rubbers

Was that a little too lewd for you? Then maybe I’m sorry. But with the performance data and the design, as a car fan you can already say that the Polestar 5 will certainly be a dream car. Now the company has given us more details and also shown a few photos. Polestar obviously wants to be able to compete in the Taycan and e-tron GT.

There is an all-wheel drive variant with a total of 900 Nm of torque. That’s not quite enough for 900 hp. We find another large number in the 800 volt architecture that is used here. Polestar does not reveal where the range should be and how big the battery is. Nor how fast the Polestar 5 can charge. But the expectations are certainly high and we will be able to meet them.

Of course I’m a little disappointed, because Polestar doesn’t want to bring its GT onto the streets until 2024. A lot can still change until then and the design may not be that special anymore. You couldn’t name a price either.

By the way, Polestar is also planning the 5 Series with less power and pure rear-wheel drive.
